This qualification reflects the role of entry level community services workers . Work may include day-to-day support of individuals in community settings.

CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support


This qualification reflects the role of individuals in the community, home or residential care setting who work under supervision, to provide person-centred support.

CHC30221 Certificate III in School Based Education Support

This qualification reflects the role of workers who assist teachers and support student learning in a range of classroom settings. 

CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support

This qualification reflects the role of support workers who complete specialised tasks and functions in aged services. 

To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 120 hours of work.

CHC43121 Certificate IV in Disability Support

This qualification reflects the role of individuals in community settings and peoples’ homes,  providing the support that empowers people with disabilities to achieve greater levels of independence and community participation.

CHC52021 Diploma of Community Services


This qualification reflects the roles of community services workers involved in the managing, co-ordinating and/or delivering of person-centred services.
To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 200 hours of work.

This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to respond holistically to client needs. Clients may have a range of issues outside and in addition to the area of immediate focus or expertise of the worker and their organisation.
